Networking
Networks fail quietly for years before they fail loudly. Intermittent Wi-Fi, a switch nobody documented, a firewall two firmware versions behind — none of it is urgent until it is.

Core network services
Design and implementation across firewalls, switching, wireless, routing and remote access, with structured cabling coordinated where physical work is required. Every deployment leaves behind documentation: addressing, VLANs, rule sets, device inventory and diagrams.
Multi-site organisations add connectivity design between locations — site-to-site VPN, SD-WAN or carrier services — with failover that has been tested rather than assumed.

- Switching, routing and VLAN segmentation
- Business Wi-Fi with site survey
- VPN, SD-WAN and multi-site connectivity

Security at the network layer
Edge devices are actively targeted and exploited within days of vulnerability disclosure. Firmware currency, rule review, disabled unused services and restricted management interfaces are basic hygiene that a surprising number of environments lack.
Segmentation limits how far an intrusion travels. Payment systems, IoT and building devices, guest access and staff networks belong on separate segments with documented rules between them. Where segmentation supports compliance scope reduction, it should be validated by testing.
- Firmware currency and vulnerability tracking
- Documented rule sets with periodic review
- Segmentation for payments, IoT and guest traffic
- Identity-aware remote access with MFA
- Logging and alerting on configuration change
Monitoring and support
Under a managed arrangement we monitor connectivity, device health, firmware status and configuration changes, and handle carrier escalation when circuits fail — which is often the slowest part of restoring service and the part clients least want to own.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
- Can you work with our existing equipment?
- Usually. Where hardware is supportable and appropriately sized we configure and maintain it. Where it is end-of-life or genuinely unfit, we will say so and explain the risk of continuing.
- How do you handle office moves?
- Cabling and carrier lead times drive the schedule, so both are confirmed early. Equipment is staged and configured in advance and cutover is documented, with someone available on the first working day.
- Do you support VoIP and meeting rooms?
- Yes — network readiness for voice and video, QoS where needed, and meeting room technology deployment fall under our office technology work.
